Welcome to the Emotional Regulation Library

Welcome to the Emotional Regulation Library

Created for children aged 4–6 as they begin their journey into “big school,” this library brings together years of work, research and collaboration with university educators, therapists who have used these resources in their practices, and parents like you who actively support their children’s emotional development.

Inside, you’ll find exercises, daily check-ins, playful printables, posters and calming practices designed to help your child explore their feelings, notice their thoughts and understand their body’s signals as they prepare for kindergarten.

There is no single “right” way to use these resources. Follow your child’s curiosity, keep the conversations light and open-ended, and allow them to engage at their own pace. These moments should feel enjoyable, empowering and safe—not like another lesson they need to complete.

Creating a tiny ritual together can be incredibly powerful. You might work through one page side by side while writing in your own journal, listen to calming music before bedtime, or develop a simple daily practice of checking in with each other.

The activity itself matters, but the real magic is in the time spent together: listening, wondering, noticing and showing your child that every feeling is welcome.

I hope you and your little person enjoy exploring the library together.

Warmly,

Heather Ray
